COVID-19 Information about your stay - updated July 19th 2021

Updated 19th July 2021.

Whilst there has been a move by the UK Government to relax guidelines relating to COVID-19 we will still be observing many aspects of our COVID safe protocols for the remainder of the summer.

We would like to welcome all our guests back to Thorney How.

We have updated our Covid-19 guidelines in order to ensure the continued safety and well-being of our guests and team members.

These revised guidelines will now remain in place until the end of the summer.

In welcoming you back to Thorney How, many things will of course stay the same

You will still find a friendly welcome, clean and fresh rooms, good home cooked food and local drinks available from our bar.

Our local services, shops, restaurants and bars are now fully open.

The Lake District hills, valleys and lakes are all here for you to explore.

Ongoing changes that will still affect you

Like all business during the pandemic we had to make some changes. Going forwards we still want to ensure that you feel safe during your stay and that own staff can be safeguarded against any continued risks.

We will be asking you to continue to observe many of the guidelines around social distancing when entering and moving around the building.

Our guest numbers will remain reduced during the summer months in order that continued social distancing can be maintained.

It is still advisory to wear masks when you are inside the building. You will also see staff wearing masks especially when they need to come into closer contact with you.

Our drying room and bike shed will now be open for guest use, however neither of these spaces can be adequately cleaned and are also too small for social distancing with a single entrance. We advise you to make your own judgement before using them and ask you to be considerate of others doing the same.

The following protocols will remain in place in order to continue to assist with the prevention of the spreading of COVID-19.
