• New dining room almost ready

  After several weeks of upheaval, our new dining room space is finally coming together. We should be all done by mid March with a new bar facility and a coffee machine on the go all day long.

  Wanted - General Assistant - We are seeking an enthusiatic, hard working individual with a sense of humour to be our general assistant at Thorney How Independent Hostel Grasmere in the Lake District. *There is no accomodation available with this post*. Pay 6.08 per hour (40 hour week). Season March 19th to October 31st

• We're redecorating

  We recognised that it is time to bring our decor up to a higher standard. Since October we've been steadily working through the main house and redecorating the bedrooms.

• Complimentary Continental Breakfasts

  Complimentary Continental Breakfasts are now included in our main house room prices. This is part of a general process gradually enhancing our main house rooms.

  As part of our Friday night speciality menu's we've now trialled our first BBQ for 40+ guests

  We're hoping to establish a great reputation for good quality appetising food. So we are now expanding our meal options with extra breakfast new options and a lunch time menu for baguettes sandwiches.

• Kennel for 2 dogs now installed

  We now have a dog kennel being road tested by our first canine guests. The kennel is limited to 2 dogs per night.
